كوريا: عمال عالقون تحت أنقاض «برج» منهار - الأول نيوز

تواصل فرق الإنقاذ في كوريا الجنوبية عمليات البحث المحمومة عن عدد من العمال المفقودين عقب انهيار برج فولاذي ضخم داخل محطة كهرباء بمدينة أولسان جنوب شرقي البلاد، في حادثة هزّت الرأي العام صباح اليوم (الخميس).

وقال المسؤول في هيئة الإطفاء الكورية الجنوبية كيم جونغ شيك إن الهيكل المنهار الذي يبلغ ارتفاعه نحو 60 متراً، سقط بالكامل أثناء تفكيك منشأة تدفئة قديمة كان يُخطط لهدمها خلال الأيام العشرة القادمة، مشيراً إلى أن مشاهد الانهيار التقطتها كاميرات محلية وأظهرت السقوط الكارثي في ثوانٍ معدودة.

وأوضح كيم أن فرق الإنقاذ تمكنت من انتشال أربعة عمال من تحت الركام، اثنان منهم أُنقذا فوراً، فيما عُثر على الآخرين لاحقاً، مؤكداً استمرار الجهود للعثور على ما بين خمسة إلى سبعة عمال يُعتقد أنهم ما زالوا محاصرين تحت الأنقاض.

وذكرت وكالة يونهاب الكورية أن المصابين الأربعة لا يعانون من إصابات خطيرة، بينما جرى استدعاء وحدات كبيرة من رجال الإطفاء والشرطة إلى موقع الحادثة، إلى جانب معدات ثقيلة للمساعدة في رفع الأنقاض.

من جانبه، أصدر رئيس الوزراء كيم مين سيوك توجيهات عاجلة لوزارة الداخلية وجميع الأجهزة المختصة بتعبئة كل الموارد المتاحة لإنقاذ العالقين وضمان سلامة فرق الإنقاذ، فيما بدأت السلطات تحقيقاً موسعاً لتحديد سبب انهيار الهيكل أثناء عملية التفكيك.

وتستمر أعمال البحث والإنقاذ على مدار الساعة وسط ترقّب وقلق واسع في البلاد، بينما لم يُعرف بعد عدد المفقودين بدقة.

Rescue teams in South Korea continue their frantic search for a number of missing workers following the collapse of a massive steel tower at a power plant in Ulsan, southeastern the country, in an incident that shook public opinion this morning (Thursday).

Kim Jong-sik, an official from the South Korean Fire Agency, stated that the collapsed structure, which is approximately 60 meters tall, fell completely while dismantling an old heating facility that was scheduled for demolition in the next ten days, noting that local cameras captured the collapse and showed the catastrophic fall in mere seconds.

Kim explained that rescue teams managed to pull four workers from under the rubble, two of whom were rescued immediately, while the others were found later, confirming that efforts are ongoing to locate between five to seven workers who are believed to still be trapped under the debris.

The Korean Yonhap News Agency reported that the four injured individuals do not have serious injuries, while large units of firefighters and police were dispatched to the scene of the incident, along with heavy equipment to assist in lifting the debris.

For his part, Prime Minister Kim Min-seok issued urgent directives to the Ministry of the Interior and all relevant agencies to mobilize all available resources to rescue those trapped and ensure the safety of the rescue teams, while authorities have begun an extensive investigation to determine the cause of the structure's collapse during the dismantling process.

The search and rescue operations continue around the clock amid widespread anticipation and concern in the country, while the exact number of missing individuals is still unknown.
