قصة شعر تحول كلباً إلى أسد يرعب أيرلندا - الأول نيوز

في حادثة أثارت الهلع أولاً ثم السخرية لاحقاً، عمّت حالة من الذعر قرية صغيرة في مقاطعة كلير غرب أيرلندا بعد أن ظن السكان أنهم أمام أسد طليق يتجول بحرية في إحدى الغابات، قبل أن تكتشف الشرطة أن "الوحش المفترس" لم يكن سوى كلب وديع من فصيلة نيوفاوندلاند.

وذكرت صحيفة نيويورك بوست أن الشرطة الأيرلندية تلقت في 29 أكتوبر الماضي عدة بلاغات من سكان أفادوا بمشاهدة "حيوان غريب وضخم" يسير في المنطقة، ما استدعى حملة بحث مكثفة سرعان ما كشفت بطل القصة الحقيقي الذي تبين أنه كلب ضخم يُدعى ماوس، تسببت قصة شعر غير مألوفة في منحه مظهراً قريباً من ملك الغابة.

ونشرت شرطة كيلالو عبر منصة إكس منشوراً طريفاً تؤكد فيه أن «الأسد المزعوم» لم يكن سوى الكلب ماوس، مرفقةً صوراً له مع الضباط الذين التقطوا معه صوراً تذكارية، بينما بدا الكلب وكأنه يشعر بالذنب بسبب الفوضى التي سببها.

ولم تكتفِ الشرطة بذلك، بل أطلقت استطلاعاً مرحاً تسأل فيه المتابعين عن مدى شبه الكلب بالأسد، فجاءت النتيجة مفاجئة، إذ صدّق 27% من المشاركين القصة فعلاً في البداية.

لكن رغم السخرية لم تخلُ الواقعة من الجدل، إذ عبّر نشطاء حقوق الحيوان عن استيائهم من قصة الشعر التي جعلت الكلب يبدو كأنه أسد، معتبرين أن حلاقة فرو نيوفاوندلاند حتى الجلد أمر غير صحي، وقد يعرّضه لمشكلات مثل حروق الشمس وارتفاع الحرارة.

وهكذا تحولت الواقعة من بلاغ أمني خطير إلى قصة قومية ساخرة، تداولها الأيرلنديون على نطاق واسع بوصفها «الأسد الذي روّضته الحلاقة».

The New York Post reported that Irish police received several reports on October 29 from residents who claimed to have seen a "strange and huge animal" walking in the area, prompting an intensive search campaign that quickly revealed the true star of the story, which turned out to be a large dog named Mouse, whose unusual haircut gave him a lion-like appearance.

Kilaloo police posted a humorous message on X confirming that the "alleged lion" was nothing but the dog Mouse, along with photos of him with the officers who took souvenir pictures with him, while the dog appeared to feel guilty for the chaos he caused.

The police didn't stop there; they launched a fun poll asking followers how similar the dog looked to a lion, and the results were surprising, as 27% of participants initially believed the story.

However, despite the laughter, the incident was not without controversy, as animal rights activists expressed their discontent over the haircut that made the dog look like a lion, considering that shaving a Newfoundland's fur down to the skin is unhealthy and could expose it to issues like sunburn and overheating.

Thus, the incident transformed from a serious security alert into a satirical national story, widely shared by the Irish as "the lion tamed by grooming."
