رئيس البرتغال بعد تأهل بلاده لكأس العالم: رونالدو سبب في كل لحظاتنا السعيدة - الأول نيوز

تحدث رئيس دولة البرتغال مارسيلو ريبيلو دي سوزا عن تأهل بلاده إلى كأس العالم بعد الفوز على أرمينيا.

وقال دي سوزا: «هذه مباراة حياتي وحياة الكثير من البرتغاليين خُضنا مباريات أكثر إثارة وانتهت بانتصارات، لكن 9-1 نتيجة نادرة وكان من الممكن أن تكون 10-1 أو 11-1، لقد كانت مباراة استثنائية».

وأردف: «نحن تأهلنا لكأس العالم وبمحض الصدفة السعيدة كنت قد حددت موعداً لتسليم ميداليات الفوز بدوري الأمم إنه مزيج رائع».

أما عن غياب رونالدو فقال: «رونالدو دائماً له مكانته، هو دائماً في قلوبنا، إنه جزء من امتناننا لعيش لحظات سعيدة، لابد أنه آسف للغاية لعدم حضوره اليوم، إنه لأمر مؤسف».

واستطرد: «لقد غاب عن مباراة كان من الضروري فيها حضور القائد، لكن حسناً هكذا هم العباقرة، كلمة حق لروبرتو مارتينيز لأنه يستحقها».

The President of Portugal, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, spoke about his country's qualification for the World Cup after the victory over Armenia.

De Sousa said: "This is the match of my life and the life of many Portuguese. We have had more exciting matches that ended in victories, but 9-1 is a rare result and it could have been 10-1 or 11-1; it was an exceptional match."

He added: "We have qualified for the World Cup, and by a happy coincidence, I had scheduled a ceremony to present the medals for winning the Nations League; it’s a wonderful combination."

Regarding Ronaldo's absence, he said: "Ronaldo always has his place; he is always in our hearts. He is part of our gratitude for experiencing happy moments. He must be very sorry for not being here today; it’s unfortunate."

He continued: "He missed a match where the presence of the captain was necessary, but well, that’s how geniuses are. A word of truth for Roberto Martinez because he deserves it."
