اقتصاد اليابان ينكمش مع تضرر الصادرات بسبب الرسوم الجمركية الأمريكية - الأول نيوز

انكمش الاقتصاد الياباني بمعدل سنوي قدره (1.8%) في الفترة من يوليو إلى سبتمبر، بحسب ما أظهرته بيانات حكومية اليوم، في الوقت الذي أدت فيه الرسوم الجمركية التي فرضها الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب إلى تراجع صادرات البلاد.

وأكد مكتب مجلس الوزراء الياباني أن الناتج المحلي الإجمالي لليابان، أو إجمالي قيمة السلع والخدمات في الدولة، انخفض بنسبة (0.4%) على أساس ربع سنوي، في أول انكماش في ستة أرباع.

ويظهر المعدل السنوي ما كان سيحققه الاقتصاد إذا استمر المعدل نفسه لمدة عام، وكان الانخفاض مع ذلك أقل من التراجع بنسبة (0.6%) الذي توقعه السوق.

وجاء الانخفاض الكبير خلال هذا الربع في الصادرات، التي تراجعت بنسبة (1.2%) عن الربع السابق.

وكانت بعض الشركات قد سرعت صادراتها، عندما أمكنها ذلك، قبيل بدء سريان الرسوم الجمركية، مما أدى إلى تضخيم بعض البيانات السابقة للصادرات.

وعلى أساس سنوي، انخفضت الصادرات بنسبة (4.5%) في الأشهر الثلاثة حتى سبتمبر، وانخفضت الواردات للربع الثالث بنسبة (0.1%)، وارتفع الاستهلاك الخاص بنسبة (0.1%) خلال الربع.

وتُعد الرسوم الجمركية ضربة كبيرة لاقتصاد اليابان المعتمد على التصدير، الذي تقوده شركات صناعة السيارات القوية مثل شركة (تويوتا موتور)، على الرغم من أن مثل هذه الشركات المصنعة قد نقلت الإنتاج إلى الخارج على مر السنين لتجنب العبء الأكبر من الرسوم.

وتفرض الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية حالياً رسوماً بنسبة (15%) على جميع الواردات اليابانية تقريباً.

The Japanese economy contracted at an annual rate of (1.8%) from July to September, according to government data released today, as tariffs imposed by U.S. President Donald Trump led to a decline in the country's exports.

The Japanese Cabinet Office confirmed that Japan's gross domestic product, or the total value of goods and services in the country, fell by (0.4%) on a quarterly basis, marking the first contraction in six quarters.

The annual rate reflects what the economy would achieve if the same rate continued for a year, and the decline was nonetheless less than the (0.6%) drop that the market had anticipated.

The significant decrease during this quarter was in exports, which fell by (1.2%) from the previous quarter.

Some companies had expedited their exports, when possible, before the tariffs took effect, which inflated some of the previous export data.

On a year-on-year basis, exports fell by (4.5%) in the three months to September, while imports decreased by (0.1%) in the third quarter, and private consumption rose by (0.1%) during the quarter.

The tariffs represent a significant blow to Japan's export-dependent economy, which is led by strong automotive companies like (Toyota Motor), although such manufacturers have shifted production overseas over the years to avoid the brunt of the tariffs.

The United States currently imposes a (15%) tariff on nearly all Japanese imports.
