أعلن الاتحاد الدولي لكرة القدم (فيفا) أمس (الأربعاء) إطلاق جائزة جديدة تُدعى «جائزة فيفا للسلام»، ستُمنح لأول مرة خلال حفل قرعة كأس العالم 2026 في واشنطن يوم 5 ديسمبر القادم.
تهدف الجائزة إلى «تكريم الأعمال الاستثنائية من أجل السلام»، في خطوة يُنظر إليها كرسالة إيجابية في عالم تتزايد فيه التوترات السياسية والاجتماعية، وسط روابط متزايدة بين رئيس «فيفا» جياني إنفانتينو والرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب.
من جانبه، وصف إنفانتينو الجائزة بأنها «أمر أساسي في عالم يزداد اضطراباً وانقساماً»، مشدداً على ضرورة الاعتراف بـ«المساهمات المتميزة لمن يعملون بجد لإنهاء النزاعات وجمع الناس بروح السلام».
جائزة سنوية باسم الجماهير
وأوضح «فيفا» في بيان رسمي أن الجائزة ستُقدَّم سنوياً «باسم الجماهير من جميع أنحاء العالم»، وسيُتولى إنفانتينو تسليم النسخة الأولى بنفسه خلال الحفل في واشنطن، الذي يُعدّ حدثاً رئيسياً لقرعة البطولة المشتركة بين الولايات المتحدة وكندا والمكسيك.
وتأتي هذه المبادرة في سياق حملات «فيفا» الدولية لربط الرياضة بالقضايا الإنسانية، خصوصاً مع اقتراب كأس العالم 2026، الذي سيشهد مشاركة 48 فريقاً لأول مرة.
وأثار الإعلان تساؤلات حول توقيته، خصوصاً بعد فشل ترمب في الحصول على جائزة «نوبل» للسلام الشهر الماضي، رغم حملات الضغط من قبل جمهوريين وعدد من القادة العالميين وترمب نفسه، كما تزامن الإعلان مع حضور إنفانتينو وترمب معاً في حدث غير مرتبط في ميامي أمس، ما يُعزِّز الشكوك حول الدوافع السياسية.
روابط متزايدة بين «فيفا» وإدارة ترمب
التقارير الأخيرة أبرزت التقارب الواضح بين «فيفا» وإدارة ترمب، إذ عيَّنت المنظمة ابنة الرئيس إيفانكا ترمب عضواً في مجلس إدارة مشروع تعليمي بقيمة 100 مليون دولار، مموَّل جزئياً من مبيعات تذاكر كأس العالم 2026.
ويُرى في هذا التعيين خطوة إستراتيجية لتعزيز الشراكة الأمريكية مع البطولة، لكنه أثار انتقادات من بعض النشطاء الذين يرون فيه محاولة لـ«تلميع صورة» الرئيس بعد خيبة «نوبل».
من جانب آخر، يواجه إنفانتينو جدلاً داخلياً في «فيفا»، إذ يُتهم بتهميش الاتحاد الدولي للاعبي كرة القدم (فيبرو) من محادثات الرفاهية، خصوصاً بعد انتقادات حادة لنهائي كأس العالم للأندية.
ويُعتقد أن جائزة السلام قد تكون محاولة لتحسين الصورة العالمية لـ«فيفا»، وسط حملاتها لربط الرياضة بالسلام، كما حدث في مبادرات سابقة مثل «كرة القدم من أجل السلام».

Recent reports have highlighted the clear rapprochement between FIFA and the Trump administration, as the organization appointed the president's daughter, Ivanka Trump, as a member of the board of a $100 million educational project, partially funded by ticket sales from the 2026 World Cup.
This appointment is seen as a strategic move to strengthen the U.S. partnership with the tournament, but it has drawn criticism from some activists who view it as an attempt to "polish the president's image" following the Nobel disappointment.
On another front, Infantino faces internal controversy within FIFA, as he is accused of sidelining the International Federation of Professional Footballers (FIFPro) from welfare discussions, especially after sharp criticisms regarding the Club World Cup final.
The Peace Prize is believed to be an attempt to improve FIFA's global image amid its campaigns to link sports with peace, as seen in previous initiatives like "Football for Peace."
